Dear God,
Thank You again for the opportunity and ability to drive! There are so many lost and frustrated people. I glorify You and give You thanks. It is helpful having had all the experiences I have had in my life. Even my darkest days have given me insight on how to talk with people on probation as easily as doctors and lawyers! People who hurt me the most were lessons learned to help others who are hurting now! I thank You for the gift of empathy!
The Amplified Bible says in Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction].
Lord, Thank You for the ability to help others and please give everyone gifts to know when to speak, and when to be silent! Help me to remember that you can not unring a bell or unscramble an egg! May all of my words come from you and may I choose them carefully! I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen!
I was listening to Moody the other day when I heard their conversation about how to pray every day. When Jesus was asked, He told His disciples to pray, "Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name..." They came up with an acronym which was kind of cool, and it is totally in line with the Our Father! A.C.T.S.
A = Adore
C = Confess
T = Thanksgiving
S = Supplication
I glorify and adore You!
I confess that I am a sinner!
I Thank You for life!
I ask that You answer my prayers!
Lord, this is a good roadmap for remembering what is important! I will continue to pray The Our Father daily! I will keep this acronym in mind throughout the day to help me keep You first all day, every day! I pray,

Thank you so much for another day. I am having a small question about calling people out on their behavior.In know in Matthew 7:5 KJV it says, “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
I've worked diligently to get that log out of my own eye. I feel like I would be a hypocrite if I allow someone else to keep me from You and Your word! It's hard making these decisions sometimes!
Today is Your day and my plans are to keep it Holy.
Lord, please let the Holy Spirit surround me, my house and my family today, keeping Your Holy Word first and help me decipher which passages pertain to all of our situations! I humbly ask this in Jesus' name, Amen!

I get a little kid feeling inside like when being chosen for a team....secretly thinking, "Here I am, pick me!"
Now that I have been chosen, I must be the best player I can possibly be, using all of the gifts You gave me!

We have made it yet to another Veterans Day! Dad was so proud to be an American. I know he loved the V.F.W. and American Legion. It was a place to gather with like minded people who served in the military.
I remember Dad saying, "There are no atheists in foxholes"!

Dear Lord, I am really having an issue today. It was kind of funny when I was younger when I would be on the phone with my Mom, and I would say, "Mom, I've got to go now!" She would reply, "Okay honey! Oh... I forgot to tell you...do you remember...?" Out of respect for her, (She was a great lady!), I would listen and sometimes end up late for where I was going. I am feeling angry at people when I tell them I have to go meditate and pray right now! I even respect them enough to tell them I will not be responding to their messages.
I tell them I need to go spend time with You! They continue to ask questions and talk as if that means nothing! You come first! If people don't respect the time I need with you...
Lord, please fill me with the Holy Spirit and send peace. When people tell me they have to go, I believe them and say goodbye!
I believe that is why both of my son's call daily. They know if they have to go, I will say, "Oh, okay! I love you! Bye!"

I love reading the different translations of Your Holy Word.
Today, I found, Romans 12:10 (NLT) "Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other"
Sometimes when I read KJV or NIV it doesn't resonate with me in a way that I can relate it well to others. If I am trying to share Your Word, I need to communicate it only if I understand it first. I used to think that KJV was the only translation because that's what I was raised on! In discovering all of the different translations, I think it's cool to be able to share your Word in a way which it might be received openly by others. Thank You for all of the guidance. Thank you for affection and the ability to love and honor all of the people I encounter.
I think of you often Papa, even though you went "Home" 35 years ago! I love you and miss you! I remember you singing "Just As I Am" and Christmas songs in German! You won the beefsteak tomato contest!
One of the things I miss most from my childhood is "Class"!
I remember thinking that Jacqueline Kennedy was the epitome of "Class"....defined, "she looked the epitome of elegance and good taste"!
1 Peter 3:2-4 says,
(2) when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. (3) Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. (4) Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."
A woman is something to be cherished and looked upon as in Your Word.
In my opinion, the top 5 classy women (for different reasons), from my childhood were:

Jacqueline Smith
They were powerful, strong, intelligent loving and giving! They lived such meaningful lives and broke barriers. Their legacy is immeasurable. I strive to live the way that You intended women to live based on Your Holy Word.
Lord, please help me to unlock and nurture the unselfish giving, teaching, sharing and commitment that these women put forth to honor others.

I have tried to humble myself before you and find that when you are somewhat of a control freak, it really takes a lot of work! Admitting shortcomings has never been one of my strong points, and I ask for Your Mercy to work on this! Thank You for always being there and please give everyone Your Grace to accept and obey Your word! When we do this, the blessings abound and we are free!
Of all of the gifts God has given me, you were probably my favorite! When I became a grandmother, I was so grateful to have you as the ultimate example of what a grandmother is! Thank you for teaching me unconditional love! I cherish every moment of the time we spent together!
It is Wednesday! We used to call this mid-week break.
I confess that during the pandemic all of the days seem to kind of blend together. Driving this week has introduced me to some new people and stories. I was delighted yesterday to meet a college girl studying criminal law. She wants to be a Police Officer! She has committed herself to the service of others, and I was very proud to meet her! Lord, please watch over her as she pursues this dangerous field.
It is written in Psalms 91:11 - (NIV) "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;"
Lord, please send Your Angels to guard and protect all of us, in Jesus' name, Amen!
I know that Sunday is a day of rest, but even on Sunday, Your day, people still want to do what they want to do. I'm sad because many don't even include You! I never get tired talking with You, ever! Maybe a sabbatical free from people completely with no electronics might be the only way to achieve, "Daddy Daughter" time with You!
In Psalm 42:2 (NIV) it says, "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?"
I totally get it!
Lord, please give us all the desire to seek You one on one, and come to You with no distractions!
Life today has it's ups and downs, especially with the pandemic and the election. 10 years ago I wrote in my blog about leaving Obama alone and let him do his job. Today I will say the same on president Trump's behalf. What our society needs is some respect for the office of the presidency and knock off voicing our opinions. I wish people would be grateful to our men in blue also. I wouldn't want their jobs!
To back up my thinking, I found Romans 13:4-5 (4) For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. (5) Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience."
Lord, please return honor and respect to our society for each other, people in authority and ourselves. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
