Got a minute? ... I woke up at 4:30 AM ... the usual time ... made coffee ... got to work ...

and within 3 hours, my entire world changed.
I learned of some news which happened 2 years ago.
I did not know anything about it.
It was in the news ... It was on TV ... It was in the papers ... There were vigils held.
I was on the Heidi Lucky train, and suddenly BAM...CRASH!!
After tears subsided, I decided to post a note here and pay homage to all of those who have gone before us. The wound is so fresh for me, I will not name names for the family's sake.
I do not want to stir the sadness again as it takes so long to get back to life after such a tragedy.

Cause of Death...

Accident?  Pre-meditated? God's will? Natural causes? Self inflicted?

Why, oh why when it's time to go,
does God or you only know?
"They" say life is short, and time does fly,
when you're young, you think it's a lie!
Now that I'm in my autumn years,
and after lifting many beers...
I find it IS true by and by,
life is short, and then you die.
I'm not sad for the ones who are gone,
I'm sad for the ones who linger on.
Lost are those who are left behind,
I'm sad because they just can't find...
Faith, Strength, Courage or Hope,
to pass the days, and learn to cope.
I pray for your peace to get through this time,
it feels like a mountain that's so hard to climb!!!
I know you can do it as I have had to,
I give Peace, Love and Happiness to ALL of YOU!!!

[ An inside P.S. ...Wing's to YOU Donny!!]

Hurricanes...

Hurricane Irma Devastation!
Hurricane Harvey Devastation!

We often ask why these things happen.
I believe that God allows these disasters to happen to reinforce the ideals, determination and hope of the American people.

When are we, the people at our best?
During a time of need and disaster.
I am forever in awe of the fabulous people who come together to reach out and lend a helping hand.
It is the mission of America to support and give to one another during a time such as this.
God Bless YOU, and God Bless the USA!

44 Years Young! Our loss is heaven's gain!

This is my cousin Valerie Lucas
On 9/12/16, our family suffered a tremendous loss when my cousin, Valerie, passed away. She was loved by all who knew her.   Val was a tremendously giving and generous person.
As her last gift to the world, she donated her organs and tissue so that her spirit could live on while helping to save the lives of other people.18 people were helped or saved by her generosity.
September 24th is the memorial service for Val.
The date is very significant to me as it is "Honey's" (Aunt Edna's) birthday.   (Edna) loved Val and her sister's very much, and I am sure she would want to help the family in any way she could.  With that said, I am hopping on board for my cousin Val in honor of Honey. The family has asked everyone to help a share in a campaign they began to help Dennis, her husband, pay for all of Val's expenses.
Memorial service:
September 24, 2016 from 1 PM pm to 4 PM. (Prayer service at 3 PM.)
Hallowell & James Funeral Home
301 75th Street
Downers Grove, IL 60516
Chicago Blackhawks attire encouraged.
(Ok if that doesn’t work anything purple will do)
Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers, we are feeling the love.
Dennis, Eileen and Amy
