Happy Birthday Dad!
Remember when you used to blow the air horn in the receiver on the wall phone when a prank caller would call?
I recall thinking... "I wonder if he blew out the kids eardrums...poor thing!"
And I remember the only time you DIDN'T blow the air horn.
Instead, you laughed so hard, it took you 15 minutes to tell me what happened...
Phone rings...
DAD : Hello?
CALLER : Is Mr. Wang there?
DAD : No, there's no one here by that name!
CALLER : Ohhh. Is Mr Wong there?
DAD : (Reaching for the air horn) NO!! There is no one here by that name either!
CALLER : Ohhh. I'M SORRY Mister! I musta Wang the Wong number! Click!!!

You can't unring a bell and you can't unscramble an egg!
Dear God,
Thank You again for the opportunity and ability to drive! There are so many lost and frustrated people. I glorify You and give You thanks. It is helpful having had all the experiences I have had in my life. Even my darkest days have given me insight on how to talk with people on probation as easily as doctors and lawyers! People who hurt me the most were lessons learned to help others who are hurting now! I thank You for the gift of empathy!
The Amplified Bible says in Proverbs 31:26
She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction].
Lord, Thank You for the ability to help others and please give everyone gifts to know when to speak, and when to be silent! Help me to remember that you can not unring a bell or unscramble an egg! May all of my words come from you and may I choose them carefully! I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen!

Remember to pray, every day!
Dear God,
Thank You for Moody Bible Institute!
I was listening to Moody the other day when I heard their conversation about how to pray every day. When Jesus was asked, He told His disciples to pray, "Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name..." They came up with an acronym which was kind of cool, and it is totally in line with the Our Father! A.C.T.S.
A = Adore
C = Confess
T = Thanksgiving
S = Supplication
I glorify and adore You!
I confess that I am a sinner!
I Thank You for life!
I ask that You answer my prayers!
Lord, this is a good roadmap for remembering what is important! I will continue to pray The Our Father daily!
I will keep this acronym in mind throughout the day to help me keep You first all day, every day! I pray,
Lord, please help everyone to keep their sights on You and not the world! Thank You for being my heavenly Father! In Jesus' name, Amen!
